Candle Wishes for Seniors is new branch of the original ministry to spend time with senior adults in nursing homes and assisted living homes who wouldn’t have many visitors on their birthdays. Connecting senior adults in the church or even young adults to a senior in the program is a great oppotunity to love on these individuals who need someone who cares and wants to make their birthdays special. Bea was the very first birthday girl in the program. We came to Stones River Manor with birthday cake, a balloon, and a bag of birthday gifts. It was amazing to see Bea’s face light up as she blew out the candles after we sang happy birthday! I am so excited about the future of this ministry.
